CSAP Students


Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP)

 
A student of the CSAP is eligible to apply for a funding unit to apply to tuition costs at a a Registered Special Education Private School (RSEPS) outside the province of Nova Scotia if the student meets all the standard program eligibility requirements.

A private/independent school outside the province may be registered if they meet requirements as outlined in the Education Act GIC Regulations including:

  • The school has been in operation for at least one year and provides programming and services specifically for students with special needs as defined through the Tuition Support Program;
     
  • All teaching staff hold a teacher's certificate from the teacher certification authority of the jurisdiction where the school is located;
     
  • The school follows the equivalent of the NS public school program and offers French-first-language programming.
